Date Difference Calculator

Find the time between two Gregorian dates. Compare completed years, months and days in the English and Bangla calendars, with totals and Bengali dates for both endpoints.

From date (Gregorian)
To date (Gregorian)

Enter dates from 1900 to 2100. English and Bangla digits work in the year fields. Today uses Bangladesh time (Asia/Dhaka).

Your calendar durations, day totals and endpoint dates will appear here.

Counts elapsed calendar days: the same date gives 0 days; 1 January to 2 January gives 1 day. Weekends and holidays are included. Hours are days × 24, not a time-zone-aware clock interval.

How to calculate the days between two dates

Choose a day, month and Gregorian year for From and To, then calculate. Use Today beside either date to fill the current date in Bangladesh, or Swap dates to exchange both inputs. Reverse order is accepted: totals remain positive and a note identifies the reversed interval.

Why the Gregorian and Bangla durations can differ

Both results cover the same elapsed days. Their years, months and remaining days can differ because the calendars place month boundaries differently. The Gregorian result uses Gregorian months; the Bangla result uses Bangladesh’s revised month lengths. A total month count is reported only for completed Gregorian months, not by dividing the days by 30.

Completed months, leap years and month ends

A month is completed at the corresponding day of the target month. If that date does not exist, the last day of the target month is used. For example, 31 January to 28 February 2025 is one completed month and 28 elapsed days. Leap days are counted normally, so 28 February to 1 March 2024 spans 2 days.

Example: two calendar views of the same interval

From 14 April 2026 to 19 October 2026, the elapsed interval is 188 days: 26 full weeks and 6 days. It is 6 months and 5 days in Gregorian months, or 6 months and 2 days in the revised Bangla calendar. These are two descriptions of the same span.

Frequently asked questions

Are both endpoint dates counted?

This calculator reports elapsed days, not an inclusive count of both endpoints. The same date gives zero and consecutive dates give one. If you need to count both dates as occupied calendar days, that is a different convention and would add one day.

Can I calculate an interval in the future?

Yes. Both dates may be in the past or future within 1900–2100. The calculator does not require either date to be today. The Today buttons are shortcuts, not a limit on the calculation.

Are the hours exact across time zones?

The tool accepts calendar dates without times of day. It multiplies elapsed date-days by 24. It does not account for a specific location’s daylight-saving transitions or calculate the clock hours between two timestamps.

Does it count working days only?

No. All calendar days are counted, including weekends and public holidays. There is no country-specific business-day or holiday filter in this tool.

Are the dates stored?

No. Dates are calculated locally in your browser and are not saved by this tool or sent with the calculation. Reset clears both date inputs and the result.
