Convert Bangla Unicode text into Bijoy (ANSI) for SutonnyMJ and other legacy publishing workflows.
Your text stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Some legacy layout software and older publishing workflows expect character codes intended for a Bijoy font. A print shop may ask for this format to fit its established production process. Confirm the required font and encoding with the recipient before preparing copy. Unicode remains the better choice for websites and messaging, where text needs to be readable across devices and searchable without a legacy font.
Copy the converted result into the target publishing application, select that text and apply SutonnyMJ or a compatible Bijoy font. Review the page layout after applying the font, especially line endings and complex letters. Changing only the font on Unicode text does not convert its character encoding.
Bijoy stores Bangla glyphs in ANSI character positions. Without the matching legacy font, the same codes display as Latin characters or symbols. That appearance is expected, not a conversion error. Keep the output intact and apply the correct font in the receiving application; do not replace those Latin-looking characters by hand.
Compare Unicode to Bijoy results for sentences, numbers, conjuncts and vowel placement.
Paste Bangla from a modern app into the Unicode input panel and press Convert. Copy the resulting legacy codes into the publishing program that requires them, then choose a compatible Bijoy font.
Use SutonnyMJ, or the compatible Bijoy font requested by your print shop. A Unicode Bangla font will not interpret the legacy character positions as intended.
The output contains legacy character codes rather than ordinary Unicode Bengali letters. Your browser may show Latin letters and symbols because it is using a modern font. The target application must render those codes with the matching legacy font.
Yes. Keep a copy of the Bijoy text and use the reverse converter when you need to publish it online or share it in a message. Proofread the recovered Bangla, particularly if the legacy text has been edited. You can convert Bijoy to Unicode here.
