Frequently asked questions
Help with Bijoy and Unicode conversion, font compatibility and getting your Bangla text ready to use.
Getting started
Yes. Both conversion directions are free to use, and no account or sign-up is required.
Open the Bijoy to Unicode converter, paste your legacy text into the input box and select Convert to Unicode. Use Copy result to paste the output into a modern document, website or message.
Open Bijoy to Unicode converterOpen the Unicode to Bijoy converter, paste your Bangla Unicode text and select Convert to Bijoy. Copy the result into your publishing application, then apply SutonnyMJ or the compatible legacy font required by the recipient.
Open Unicode to Bijoy converterThe tool changes text encoding between Bijoy-compatible ANSI and Unicode. It does not translate languages, correct spelling or provide English-to-Bangla phonetic typing.
Fonts and conversion results
Bijoy-compatible text uses legacy character positions that need a matching font to display Bangla. Latin-looking characters in the output can be expected. Keep the output intact and apply a compatible font, such as SutonnyMJ, in the receiving application.
The conversion itself does not require SutonnyMJ. You need a compatible legacy font to display Bijoy output correctly in your target application. Unicode output needs a Unicode Bangla font, such as Noto Sans Bengali, rather than SutonnyMJ.
First check the conversion direction and the font in the receiving application. Boxes can indicate missing Bangla glyphs. Mixed encodings, damaged characters or manual spaces inside letter sequences can affect conversion. Convert Bijoy and Unicode portions separately and compare conjuncts, vowel signs and punctuation with the original.
Results depend on the source text and its encoding. Keep a copy of the original and proofread the output before publishing or printing, especially names, numbers and complex letter combinations. Review the final layout in the application where the text will be used.

The converter accepts pasted text, not file uploads. Copy selectable text from your document and paste it into the input box. Scanned images need text extraction with a separate OCR tool first. Fonts, page layout and rich-text formatting are not transferred by this converter.
Conversion runs locally in your browser. The converter does not upload your input or output for server-side processing or keep a saved conversion history. Copying places the selected text on your device’s clipboard at your request.
Read our privacy policyMake sure you have converted some text first. Your browser may block clipboard access or require permission. If copying fails, select the output text and use your device’s normal copy command, then paste it into the receiving application.
Contact Support@banglaconverter.pro. For a conversion issue, include the conversion direction, a short non-sensitive input sample, the result you received and the result you expected. Mention your browser and any font or application involved.
